About the film: Searching for Saiyhō (dir - Olaf Lawrence) is a short documentary about European, Australian, and American outsiders, each with a deep and individual love for skiing, snowboarding and the mountains. It is about shared experiences of immigrating to Japan - the world’s most unique and prolific snow powder destinations and how the sports and Hokkaido as a place is evolving and shifting with time. Loosely inspired by Arc'teryx’s - ‘Better Days’ and shot backcountry in Northern Japan.
