‘Tonel’ - A 4:3 Surf Film

A short surf film, inspired by the Mediterranean elements, Tonel is an attempt to tangibly capture the burnt orange rock and blue-green waters of the Algarve. Shot in 4:3 on a mix of DV and cine cam, we wanted to recreate a grainy, nostalgic feel while shooting true colour and detail to viscerally grasp this landscape.
